Sticky ribbons and glue traps

There are sites where the question "which product should we use for treatment" simply does not arise: a food production floor, a restaurant kitchen, a daycare room, a hospital ward, or premises where food is exposed. Any chemical there entails regulations, approvals, and a risk nobody wants.

Glue products work without any active ingredient. The glue holds the catch, and a food attractant draws it in — the insect or rodent comes on its own. Nothing evaporates, settles on surfaces, or requires ventilation: a trap can hang over a table where people are working. One trap lasts up to four weeks, and the glue formulation will not run even in a hot production area, at temperatures up to +40 °C.

The format has a second, underrated use — monitoring. The catch on a ribbon or in a trap shows whether there is a problem, where it is, and whether it is growing. Many sites keep glue traps in place permanently as an indicator rather than a control measure: it is the least expensive way to detect an infestation before an inspector sees it.
