Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy (the “Cookie Policy”) describes which cookies and similar technologies are used on the website oboronhim.ru (the “Website”), for what purposes, for how long they are stored, to whom they are transferred and how a user may refuse them.

The operator of the Website is Limited Liability Company «Oborona» (LLC «Oborona»), PSRN 1107746985202, TIN/RRC 7704770665 / 503201001, address (location): 143032, Moscow Region, Odintsovo, Islavskoye village, SNT Sadko, 25/1. Address for enquiries about the processing of personal data and cookies — privacy@oboronhim.ru.

This Cookie Policy forms an integral part of the Personal Data Processing Policy.

1. Acceptance of the Cookie Policy

When visiting the Website, the user is shown a notice about the use of cookies containing a link to this Cookie Policy. By continuing to use the Website, the user agrees to the processing of cookies on the terms of this Cookie Policy. Clicking «I accept» confirms that the user has read the notice and hides it; a marker that the notice has been dismissed is stored in the browser's local storage so that it is not shown again.

If the user does not agree with the terms of this Cookie Policy, they may prohibit or restrict the use of cookies in their browser (section 8), use the Yandex Metrica opt-out (section 5), or stop using the Website.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in the user's browser and reads on subsequent requests. They allow a website to preserve state between requests — for example, to remember that a request came from the same browser.

Similar technologies include the browser's local storage (localStorage), a mechanism in which a website saves small values directly in the browser. Unlike cookies, such values are not transmitted to the server and remain on the user's device.

The legislation of the Russian Federation contains no separate law on cookies. At the same time, if cookie data makes it possible to identify a natural person directly or indirectly, such data is personal data and is processed in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”.

3. Which cookies the Website uses

3.1. Strictly necessary (technical) cookies

These ensure the basic operation of the Website and the security of form submission; without them the Website cannot work correctly, and they cannot be refused while continuing to use the Website.

  • po-oboronxim-session — the session identifier. It links successive requests from one visitor together, in particular so that a form opened on a page can be processed correctly when submitted. A first-party cookie of the Website. Storage period — 2 hours from the last request. Not accessible to scripts on the page (HttpOnly flag), sent only to this same site (SameSite=Lax).
  • XSRF-TOKEN — protection against cross-site request forgery (CSRF). It contains a verification token confirming that a form was submitted from the Website itself and not from a third-party resource. A first-party cookie of the Website. Storage period — 2 hours. Read by the Website's scripts to submit forms without reloading the page, sent only to this same site (SameSite=Lax).

3.2. Analytics cookies

These are set by the Yandex Metrica web analytics service (section 5) and are used to collect depersonalised traffic statistics. Their composition and storage periods are given as actually observed on the Website and may be changed by the service provider:

  • _ym_uid — a depersonalised browser identifier that makes it possible to tell one visitor from another and not count repeat visits as new ones. Storage period — 1 year.
  • _ym_d — the date of the browser's first visit to the Website. Storage period — 1 year.
  • _ym_isad — an indicator of whether the visitor has an ad blocker, used for the accuracy of statistics. Storage period — about one day.
  • _ym_visorc — a service cookie of Webvisor used when recording a session. Session cookie, storage period — less than one day.

4. Browser local storage

The Website stores the following values on the user's device. They are not transmitted to the server, are not used to identify the user and are not combined with any other data:

  • obx-cookie-choice — a marker that the cookie notice has been dismissed. Stored so that the notice is not shown again.
  • obx-lang-choice — a marker that the offer to open the Website in another language has been dismissed. Stored so that the offer is not shown again.
  • obx-herovid and similar values for background videos — the playback position of a video on a page, so that on returning the clip continues from the same point.

These values are stored until the user deletes them using their browser.

5. Yandex Metrica

To collect depersonalised traffic statistics, the Website uses the Yandex Metrica web analytics service provided by LLC «YANDEX». The service loads when the pages of the Website are opened.

Yandex Metrica processes, in particular: the IP address, information about the browser and operating system, the type and characteristics of the device, the screen resolution, the interface language, the source of the transition to the Website and the search query (where present), the addresses of the pages viewed, the date, time and duration of the visit, the sequence of transitions within the Website, and the depersonalised identifiers listed in section 3.2.

Webvisor. Yandex Metrica may include the Webvisor feature, which records the visitor's actions on a page: pointer movements, scrolling, clicks and interaction with page elements. This feature may be enabled or disabled by the Operator at any time; as of the current version of this Cookie Policy its state is determined by the Website settings. Form fields in which a visitor enters information about themselves (name, telephone number, email address, organisation name, message text, and also the login and password in the sign-in form) are marked as hidden from recording, and their contents are not saved in Webvisor recordings.

Opting out of Yandex Metrica. The user has the right to opt out of data collection by Yandex Metrica on all websites using Yandex's official opt-out mechanism: https://yandex.ru/support/metrica/general/opt-out.html. Opting out does not restrict access to the Website and does not affect the operation of its sections.

The Operator has the right to stop using Yandex Metrica on the Website at any time; in that case the corresponding cookies cease to be set.

6. Purposes of processing cookies

  • ensuring the operability of the Website, preserving the session state and language settings;
  • ensuring the security of the Website and protecting forms against automated and cross-site attacks;
  • collecting depersonalised traffic statistics: number of visitors, sources of transitions, pages viewed, duration of visits;
  • analysing the usability of the Website and detecting errors in its operation in order to improve its structure, content and navigation.

Cookies are not used by the Website to display advertising, for retargeting, to build advertising profiles or to transfer data to advertising networks.

7. Transfer of data to third parties

Data collected by means of Yandex Metrica is processed by LLC «YANDEX» on the terms established by that entity for users of the service. Cookie data is not transferred to any other third parties.

No cross-border transfer of cookie data is carried out: the Website's data is processed on the servers of a Russian hosting provider located in the territory of the Russian Federation, and Yandex Metrica is a service of a Russian legal entity.

8. How to refuse cookies

A user may manage cookies themselves using their browser: view and delete stored files, prohibit their installation entirely or for individual sites, and enable private browsing mode. The relevant settings are located in the browser's privacy and site data sections:

  • Google Chrome — “Settings” → “Privacy and security” → “Third-party cookies”;
  • Mozilla Firefox — “Settings” → “Privacy & Security” → “Cookies and Site Data”;
  • Safari — “Settings” → “Privacy” → “Manage Website Data”;
  • Microsoft Edge — “Settings” → “Cookies and site permissions”;
  • Yandex Browser — “Settings” → “System” → “Site settings” → “Cookies”;
  • Opera — “Settings” → “Privacy and security” → “Cookies and other site data”.

Refusing analytics cookies does not restrict access to the Website or its sections. At the same time, prohibiting cookies entirely in the browser will make it impossible to submit forms on the Website, because the CSRF protection token cannot be stored and transmitted.

Deletion of already stored cookies and local storage values is performed using the browser, in the section for clearing site data.

9. Changes to the Cookie Policy

The Operator has the right to make changes to this Cookie Policy. The current version is permanently available on the Website at /cookies. Changes take effect from the moment the current version is published on the Website. Enquiries relating to the processing of personal data and the use of cookies should be sent to privacy@oboronhim.ru.
