Damp is the main enemy of rodenticide bait. Grain and soft bait in a basement, a utility tunnel, or the open air absorb moisture and lose their scent and appearance, and rodents stop taking them before the product has time to work. The bait placement has to be repeated, consumption rises, and there is no result.
The wax casing provides a physical barrier: it keeps moisture out, while the block holds its shape at up to 100% humidity and through temperature swings. The block remains effective as bait for as long as needed — and the hole through it allows it to be secured in a bait station or on wire so that rodents cannot drag it away.
The active ingredient is the anticoagulant brodifacoum at 0.005%: a single feeding is enough, death occurs on the third to eighth day, and the mummifying effect eliminates the main problem in enclosed spaces — the odor of decomposition in inaccessible places.
