Cockroaches adapt. When a site is treated with the same active ingredient year after year, part of the population stops responding to it — and the gel that worked yesterday suddenly stops delivering.
This gel exists for exactly those cases. It contains imidacloprid rather than the fipronil used in our other gels — a different class, a different mechanism of action, and no built-up resistance in the population. The composition is also notably more resistant to moisture and high temperatures.
How to apply
Apply the gel in a dotted line — 2–3 cm dashes a few centimeters apart — along the insects' routes: along baseboards, behind the stove and refrigerator, under the sink, by the trash can, near vents and water pipes. There is no need to treat the whole area.
Bought for food-service kitchens, bathhouses and laundries, boiler rooms and basements — anywhere hot and humid — and as the second product in rotation when the usual one has stopped working.

Why does cockroach gel stop working, and what can you do about it?
Cockroaches adapt: when a site is treated with the same active ingredient year after year, part of the population stops responding to it. Tigard gel exists for exactly such cases — it is used as the second product in rotation when the usual one has stopped working.
How is Tigard gel different from fipronil-based gels?
In its active ingredient: Tigard contains imidacloprid 0.5% rather than the fipronil used in our other gels. Imidacloprid belongs to a different class and has a different mechanism of action, and the population has built up no resistance to it, which makes Tigard the answer for populations resistant to the usual gels.
Is Tigard gel suitable for a bathhouse, a laundry, or a basement?
Yes. The composition has heightened resistance to moisture and high temperature, and the gel works in hot and humid spaces — it is bought for food-service kitchens, bathhouses and laundries, boiler rooms, and basements. At the same time, it keeps its properties down to −30 °C and is suitable for unheated spaces.
How do you apply Tigard Cockroach Gel?
